A Human-Sized Pillow Project!

So, there were these immensely ugly pillows in my backyard.

I had to help those poor, poor pillows.

My mom ordered some fabric online, and I blasted some Frank Sinatra and got to work.  (Gotta love Frankie, right?)  I made some cool pillow covers (with a zipper, seam ripped from the original pillow).  These pillow covers are a great home-improvement project, or you could surprise a family member or friend with some awesome-opossum new pillows.
I had to do a circle one, too, which was VERY hard.  (no pic, sorry!)

Before:

After:

Tutorial:  fold fabric rectangle in half and sew up sides (left and right only!!!) "hamburger style" (hahaha).  I used this crazy zig-zag straight-sides stitch.  Then, sew in a zipper on the side that is not sewn yet.  Ta-da!  You have a pillow cover!  (sorry for the bad tutorial)

Skipper and Skipper are Babysitting! (photo-story)

This is the first photo-story in Glittabomb FeFe history.  EVER!!!  Here it goes!
Dolls:  Teen Time Skipper (I think), Amusement Park Skipper, Baby Krissy, and Life in the Dreamhouse Midge.

Skipper 1 (blonde):  I'm so excited!
Skipper 2:  Me, too!  Do you think Krissy will like my hat?
Skipper 1: *giggle* mm-hmmm
Skipper 2:  Hello, little baby Krissy!  Who's the cute little baby?  You are!  Lets play with some of your toys.
 Krissy:  Goo-goo!  Gah-gah! *giggle*
Skipper 1:  Ooh, look what I found...
Skipper 1:  It's Bibble from Fairytopia!!!
Krissy:  *looks at Bibble*

Skipper 2:  Hey Skipper, Midge will be home soon.
 Krissy: Mama! Mama!
Midge:  Thanks, girls!  You did a great job.
THE END!!!

I desperately need Skipper-sized clothes and shoes!  Please comment some good places to buy some.

And last (but definitely not least), I did a prom-themed photoshoot!
This was my fave.  I made the big poofy dress and orange afro!

Hope you enjoyed!

Antique Store Finds!

I went to the antique store with my grandpa (papa) today!  Here is what we found:

1. Teen Time Skipper (I think)
She came with no clothes for $2.  I put her in the 30th Anniversary Barbie Outfit.  She is sooo pretty!  Her lips are very pink, it doesn't show well in the pics.
 Awesome-opossum crimped hair!!!
flat feet!  She might not have any shoes for the time being... oh well!

2.  1995 Happy Holidays Barbie (new in unopened box for $10)
So pretty!  I believe that she is my first holiday Barbie.
 Beautiful face and makeup!
 Wow!  Curly hair!
When I opened the box, there was this poster/picture inside!  Cool!

And that concludes my antique store finds!

Look what I have been busy making!

I decided to make an AG doll-sized house.  Then, my mom ordered a pretty bench for our front porch, which arrived yesterday in A GIANT BOX THAT WAS THE PERFECT SIZE TO CUT INTO WALLS!!!  My grandma came over and helped me paint the cardboard.  A behind-the-scenes video is on my instagram (@glittabomb_fefe).

Room 1: Bedroom
I used the same paint as the actual wall.  The lighting is just wonky!

Room 2: The salon/pet room ( I call it the randomness room)

Room 3: The kitchen/dining room

For this wall, I just painted it purple (no white) because the kitchen appliances would cover most of the bottom.  I had to tape it onto the back of a dresser!

I'm very happy with how it turned out!  In the process, I cleaned out my extremely messy movie room (which is a guest bedroom :P) and straightened up my Barbie Dreamhouse.  I'm thinking about making some photo-stories.  Any tips?

New movie, awesome finds, and a photo from my latest photo shoot!

The movie is an AGSM bedroom tour.  LINK TO NEW MOVIE

Also, I found some cool things today!
An adorable Calico Critters baby bunny
AAAHHHH!!! SO FLUFFY AND CUTE!!! ($6.99)
 Playmobil Pop Stars Set ($5.95)
Sooooo cool! I have never heard of Playmobil, but I now love them!  They remind me of legos--- except a lot bigger!  Most of the parts are removable.
I almost got a few Japanese Erasers, but then I saw this!  I made a few already, and TOTALLY recommend it!
I thought this picture of Rebecca was stunning.  Poofy dresses are awesome!

The Fault in our Stars

I went to see the movie yesterday, and (I have never cried in a movie) bawled my eyes out!!!  Be sure to bring some tissues.  I finished making an AGSM today, and, after I edit it, I will post!

Also, I added a new activity to my bucket list!  It is to make seaglass jewelry.  I found a plate of seaglass in my craft area, and I remembered the beautiful jewelry that was made out of seaglass from Bermuda.  (my parents went and sent me pictures of it!)  I can't wait to make it, and will show you my creations.

More Antique Store Finds & a Bucket List Update!

I went back to an antique store and got a couple things.  They were having a huge sale!

I NEED YOUR HELP!  I got a Barbie, and i need your help to identify her.
Very pretty brown hair, pink earrings.  She came in a dress with stains all over it, so I borrowed Dollar Store Barbie's dress.  She was $5.
Her eyes are blue AND green
It looks like she used to have a ring

Also, I got a bag of giant fluffballs for 80 cents!
ERMAHGURSH!!!!  I think i'm going to decorate my new purple flip-flops with these!

Bucket List Update
Okay... You know how I said the kool-aid hair dye experiment was a fail?  Well, I woke up with it (i guess it dried  overnight) completely reddish-pink!  It smells really icky, but it looks awesome opossum!

Also, I hung the mustache sign up!  Here is a pic.  I even put the link to my blog on it!

Today was my last day in Florida, so I am going home tomorrow.

Dollar Store Finds and a Bucket List FAIL!

I went to the dollar store today, here is what I got!
A giant sheet of SHINY/SPARKLY BUTTERFLY STICKERS!!! ($1)
A pair of purple flip-flops to decorate--- in the spirit of summer! ($1)
A pack of 4 mini green bins (for my dollhouse) ($1)
A 3D mosaic Lion kit--- I love to make the things in these 3D mosaic kits! ($1)
A knock-off Barbie, who I think is really pretty!  ($1) Her dress is sparkly, so it is decent.  Her head is REALLY squishy, though...
Very pretty face with brownish-reddish curly hair.  She has holes in her ears where (i think) earrings should go.
Pink shoes that I like a lot!

and now for a story about a BUCKET LIST FAIL!!!

So I tried to kool-aid dip-dye my hair pink...
I sat with my head in a pot of boiling, smelly pink kool-aid and water for 20 minutes.  I followed the WikiHow, and it dried.  Unfortunately, the ends of my hair are now EXACTLY the same color.  But, of course, I washed and washed my hair and it STILL smells like strawberry-orange-banana kool-aid.  I do not recommend kool-aid dying your hair!

In conclusion, I HAVE STRAWBERRY-ORANGE-BANANA KOOL-AID SCENTED HAIR!
